Ryback Series 2 News

Ryback Series Two & RybackGP kitchen knives may now be ordered with grips made from DuPont Corian plastic for quick delivery. I can obtain small amounts of Corian locally in most colors. Order a knife or set of knives to match your kitchen. Mandarin Orange, pictured above, and Mediterranian Blue are in stock for immediate delivery.

New Ryback Series 2 Limited Editions:

Ryback Series 2 Damascus Edition
This will be limited to a maximum of 20 knives made from hand-forged carbon steel Damascus made by Markus Balbach in Germany. These knifes are well on the way to completion. All are through heat treating (HRC 61-62) and are being surface ground now. Projected price for these is €1000 each.
Ryback Series 2 Carbon Edition
This small edition of carbon toolsteel blades is for fans of RUST! ;-) The knives are made from 3.4mm thick 1.2519 at HRC 61-62. The finish will be machine fine ground then bathed in ferric chloride for a nice, grey patina. The blanks are through heat treating and out for surface grinding now. I HOPE the price on these will be €160 and I really hope to be on the big grinders with both the Damascus and Carbon editions in April and with a bit of luck, I'll have the first couple of knives at the show in Solingen in May.

The Mytuko Series

The Mytuko Series Kitchen / All Purpose Knives are my interpretation of the classic, Japanese Santoku. The Mytuko Mini features a 73mm blade and is designed as a crossover between kitchen cutlery and a general, all-purpose knife for everyday carry. The practical design makes an ideal companion for camping, hiking and whenever a light , handy blade is needed. Step into the Kitchen for complete info, prices atart at €95!
The leather sheaths are finished and were sent to me on the 10th of Feb. Unfortunately they have not been seen since. Right now I'm trying to trace the package... what a drag.

Television Report on the Making of a Ghost Dog Folder

October 27, 2009 the German television network PRO7 aired a segment of their Infotainment series Galileo filmed in my shop. I specially designed a new version of my Ghost Dog Folder for the episode and you can see a few pics of the knife here. The 12 minute bit from the show is up on YouTube.

Custom Knifeparts made to Order

In addition to my own knives, I also offer design and production services for OEM parts or complete knives for other knifemakers and manufacturers. I can provide anything from drawings and funtion prototypes to finished parts and product, either made in my shop or subcontracted around the world through the network of expert vendors I have developed over the years. These services are kept as confidential as the client wishes. Please contact me if you need something designed or produced.
