The WilkinsGRIP is a grip conversion system I designed and manufacture for the Griptilian Series folding knives made by Benchmade Knives in the USA. I make a WilkinsGRIP set to fit all versions of both the original large and the Mini Griptilian.
Instead of duplicating Benchmade's grip design using another material, I designed a totally new grip which differs from the original both in form and construction. WilkinsGRIPs are made from high-strength plastic composites, anodized aluminum and even titanium.
The modular blade and patented Axis locking mechanism from the original Griptilian drop right into the precision machined WilkinsGRIP conversion without any modification – which of course allows the components to be quickly re-installed in the original Griptilian grips if ever desired. Even the original Benchmade clip can be installed on either side of the WilkinsGRIP for full ambidextrous carry just like on the stock Griptilian.
The original Griptilian is a great knife with one of the best locking systems in the industry. Try one outfitted with a WilkinsGRIP conversion and I think you'll agree that I've made a great knife even better!

Installation is Easy
Installing any WilkinsGRIP conversion takes 15 minutes or less. You'll need a couple of Torx drivers and some blue Loctite. I suggest taping the blade's cutting edge for safety.

WilkinsGRIP now for Spyderco's Leafstorm
The WilkinsGRIP LS fits Spyderco's Leafstorm folder manufactured by Spyderco, Inc. under license in Golden, Colorado. The WilkinsGRIP LS is a no hassle replacement for the stock Spyderco grip. I recently began making LS grips from DuPont Corian and will be bringing out more new colors soon! I'm also experimenting with other materials - stay tuned for more details.

About DuPont™ Corian®
DuPont Corian is an industry standard composite material used for counter tops, bathroom interiors, lighting fixtures and a multitude of other objects. Corian is non-porous and non-staining. Like G10, it can be scratched and may break if dropped. Knives with Corian grips should not be used as hammers nor should they be carried in the pocket with loose change which could mar the surface. Spyderco Leafstorm Installation Tips
When installing WilkinsGRIP LS grips on the Spyderco Leafstorm, avoid removing the stop pin from the titanium grip scale! Only remove the stop pin screw from the G10 grip side which will be replaced by the WilkinsGRIP LS grip scale. Also avoid allowing the stop pin to rotate on its own axis.
Use a fine felt tip marker and put a small dot on the stop pin, more or less where the arrow is pointing in the pic - that way you can see if the stop pin has rotated during installation. If so, it will need to be rotated back to the original location.
The lockup on the knife has been adjusted at the factory and removing and reinstalling the stop pin will usually change the lock up on the knife. This is why the stop pin MUST be reinstalled in the same position as when it left the factory -- or better yet DON'T TAKE IT OUT in the first place.
